Politics!

First order of business:

"Tiny plastic sandals, some tattered and stained with blood, lay in a pile near a child's crushed bicycle. Mothers wailed and beat themselves after a suicide bomber killed 18 children and teenagers getting candy and toys from American soldiers.

One of the soldiers was among the up to 27 people killed in Wednesday's blast in an impoverished Shiite Muslim neighborhood. At least 70 other people, including three U.S. soldiers, were wounded. A newborn was among those hurt."

It sure is comforting to know that they won't let innocent children get in between them and their targets, isn't it?

2nd order of business:

I've been a fan of supply-side economics for a looong time now. Clayton may say it doesn't work, but I really feel that it does. Of course, evidence is necessary to back up such claims - the federal deficit has been cut by a quarter. That's about 100 billion dollars. another thing is that...

"Though President Bush’s critics will never admit it, his supply-side tax reforms of two years ago are working brilliantly. With new incentives to work and invest, the economy is expanding, the income base is widening, and businesses and individuals are producing an unprecedented surge of tax collections. All this is occurring at lower marginal tax rates. Once again, the Laffer curve is working." - some reputable source. (actually, here. http://nationalreview.com/kudlow/kudlow200507130924.asp for the entire story.)

I've taken some week-old or so current events from another source. Were this my own discovery or revalation or whatever, I'd put a lot more work into writing about it. Make it more eloquent, pointed, and whatnot.

Link?

C'mon Josh, stealing material from other blogs is perfectly acceptable, but you HAVE to give credit to the original author!

And a link. Bloggers like links. A lot.

So here, I'll give you an example:

"I found this stuff over at Dr. Hartline (www.drhartline.blogspot.com), who has interesting things to say about politics and current events. Go check him out!"

;)

Seriously, though. Check him out.

Re: Link?

Heh, true enough. I did say that it wasn't mine, though. I was just... far too lazy to actually put a link down.

Oh, and someone oughtta sue you for false advertising. If you keep calling yourself Dr. Hartline, people are going to think you actually know something. ;)
